Terms
Last updated 18 October 2026
These terms cover your use of Bittern, a code review tool run by Jamal Mulla in the United Kingdom. By signing in you agree to them.
Early access
Bittern is free during early access and provided as it is, without warranties. Features may change, and the service may be interrupted or ended; we will give notice of anything significant where we can.
Your account and code
You sign in with your own GitHub account and may only review repositories you are allowed to access. Your code stays yours; you allow Bittern to process it only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy.
The AI guide
AI answers can be wrong. They help you review; they do not replace your judgement. You are responsible for the comments, approvals and merges you make through Bittern, as if you had made them on GitHub directly. AI use is subject to fair daily limits.
Acceptable use
Don't use Bittern to break the law, to break GitHub's terms, or to overload or attack the service.
Liability
As far as the law allows, Bittern is not liable for indirect losses, or for any loss arising from code you review, approve or merge. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
